The aim is to reduce environmental impact by eliminating disposable packaging for takeaway meals, by introducing reusable containers and a digital system to manage their allocation and return and the monitoring of environmental impact.

After registering on the app and obtaining a personal QR code, Rosetti Marino employees can show the code to our staff, who will scan it and pair it with the contained to be used for the takeaway meal. After the meal is eaten the container can be returned to the canteen, where it is washed and sanitised ready to go back into the use cycle.

What’s more, if not all the food is eaten the resealable containers can be taken home, helping to avoid food waste, and returned to the canteen within seven days.

A digital tracking system enables precise monitoring of the project’s environmental impact, in order to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable lunch break choices throughout the organisation.
