Over 2,500 meal supplies donated in the past year to cancer patients cared for at home and their families.
1 The context
Managing cancer and supporting families at a time of great vulnerability is a complex social challenge that requires timely and continuous intervention. In this context, the protection of public health must also extend into the home, where the patient’s dignity and the quality of life of the whole family are at stake. For a cooperative, supporting the local health and social care system means turning social responsibility into real closeness and everyday relief.
2 The initiative
To offer tangible responses to these needs, Camst group has built a strong bond with Fondazione ANT – Franco Pannuti, an institution that for over forty years has provided free specialist medical care and psychological support at home. The cooperative’s contribution focuses on a practical aspect of everyday life: donating ready meals for patients and their caregivers, easing the organisational burden on families during treatment. At the same time, the collaboration is reflected within the company through welfare programmes that offer employees free medical screenings and training sessions aimed at spreading the importance of early diagnosis.
3 The result
This synergy shows how effective collaboration between businesses and the third sector can be, turning food support into a genuine part of the integrated care network. Beyond the value of the donations and the effectiveness of the prevention check-ups, the collaboration between Camst group and Fondazione ANT helps strengthen a social protection network based on listening and shared responsibility, putting people and quality of life back at the centre of local wellbeing.
