With Sfridoo, the circular economy becomes a lever for competitiveness

Circular economy

Andrea Cavagna is one of the founders of Sfridoo, the start-up that guides companies towards circular economy models through innovative, tailor-made, sustainable services with high eco-innovation value. Camst also takes part in the project, putting back into circulation kitchen equipment that is no longer needed at some sites but can be reused elsewhere, eliminating waste.

We are here at the greenhouses of the Giardini Margherita, where our offices are, in an accelerator run by ART-ER, the Emilia-Romagna consortium for innovation.

Sfridoo came into contact with Camst through a meeting arranged by Mindsetter, the association of Emilia-Romagna start-ups that facilitates meetings with large companies in the region.

Sfridoo is the circular economy start-up. We help companies transition to the circular economy. Our services help companies save money and reduce their environmental impact.

Riusoo, the project we are carrying out with Camst, is one of Sfridoo’s digital platforms and tools. Riusoo is a web platform through which Camst can share its work equipment – fridges, ovens, chairs and tables – which today may be sitting in a warehouse but could in fact still be reused. So it helps the company itself reduce the waste it produces as well as optimise the purchase of new equipment. Through Riusoo the company’s environmental impact is reduced and the economic management of operations is optimised. Riusoo embodies the three pillars of the circular economy: economic, environmental and social.
