1 The context
Reducing packaging waste and decarbonising services are fundamental pillars of sustainable corporate catering. Integrating circular economy models into take-away channels makes it possible to cut the ecological footprint of everyday consumption, turning the lunch break into an opportunity to protect the environment.
2 The initiative
At the Rosetti Marino company canteen in Ravenna, run by our food service company, a pilot project based on Aroundrs technology is under way. Through a dedicated app and a digital tracking system using QR codes, employees manage reusable containers for take-away meals. Once returned, the containers are washed, sanitised and put back into circulation.
3 The result
During 2025, the consolidation of this circular model made it possible to save 7,418 single-use containers (+52% vs 2024) and avoid the emission of 927 kg of CO2eq. This milestone shows that introducing a simple solution into everyday life can help reduce the environmental footprint of corporate catering services.
