Toward the world we want
What remains
We are a company of people working for the welfare of other people. The community and the environment in which we have lived and worked for nearly 80 years have always inspired us to grow an ethical, collaborative and respectful company. For us, looking at social, environmental and governance issues is a natural attitude, driven by an awareness of their value and the commitment essential to protect them. Succeeding in this task has been possible because of the responsibility of our actions, inside and outside the company.
What changes
During 2023, in addition to becoming a Cooperative Benefit Society, we measured our performance through the B Impact Assessment (BIA): a structured assessment that measures the social, environmental, and economic impact of a company or organization. This measurement, the basis of the Benefit Societies' strategic approach, allows us to continuously monitor and improve corporate social and environmental performance, ensuring transparency and credibility with our many stakeholders.
Our first dual materiality
In 2023, we initiated an analysis process according to the "dual materiality" approach through the increasing involvement of our internal and external stakeholders. We considered what effects the company causes on society and the surrounding environment (impact materiality) and how ESG issues affect the company's own financial performance and value over time (financial materiality). The collected assessments, aggregated and weighted, produced our first dual materiality analysis.
