Environmental sustainability
Let's put our facts on the table
We are what we eat, recycle, respect, share. In other words, we are the environment in which we live. Every choice we make reflects the responsibility and awareness that we must protect the planet for future generations.
Our efforts to protect environmental sustainability are intensifying all the time. We are certain that sustainability today is closely related to decarbonization, a topic to which we pay great attention as we are fully aware of the role it plays in climate change.
While it is one of the most important challenges today, it is not the only one in terms of its impact on the environment, so our environmental policy is based on the adoption of organizational and management tools aimed at reducing the impact of activities on the ecosystem according to logics traceable to the material themes shown in the chart.
Our Life Cycle Assesment
During 2023, we have initiated, together with our partner Ecoinnovation, a journey to measure our environmental impacts along the value chain with the goal of defining a multi-year decarbonization path that will also help us better structure the reporting process in view of the new CSRD directive. The measurement, carried out through an organizational life cycle analysis (LCA) approach, allowed us to quantify the climate-altering gas emissions generated directly and indirectly by our value chain. The path we have embarked on will help us to better and better define our governance model to strategy to be adopted and, not least, to create the corporate competencies to internally manage and monitor the decarbonization targets and plan, cultivating the cultural change that is essential for us and the environment in which we live.
