Customer health and safety

The good of food, beyond taste

For us, ensuring the health and safety of customers means going beyond compliance with health and safety regulations. We aim to meet nutritional needs better and better with diversified and balanced menus, but not only that. We promote a sustainable and healthy diet that is mindful of food production and consumption, nutritional needs, and the protection of ecosystems and cultures.

Consumers are increasingly aware of and more interested in a healthy and sustainable diet: food is also culture, a link to the land and increasingly goes beyond the physiological need for nourishment. That is why in Camst's menus, compliance with health and safety standards for customers is as important as seasonality, organic and other aspects of sustainability. Camst's adoption of ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and ISO 22005 certifications demonstrates a voluntary commitment to go beyond the minimum legal requirements by implementing quality management, food safety and traceability systems.

The security of training

Adequate staff training on food safety and proper food handling is essential for us to maintain optimal hygienic practices in food preparation so as to prevent contamination, ensuring the safety of the food served.

A team of more than 100 nutrition experts and dietitians supports us in the development of balanced and healthy menus that meet the highest nutritional standards, actively contributing to nutrition education pathways. It is especially in school catering that Camst carries out projects to raise awareness and inform children, parents and teachers with respect to sustainable, balanced nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

The path that is good for the planet

To effectively and organically bring these issues to school food service stakeholders, the "Let's Grow Together for the Good of the Planet" pathway was designed, a package of activities, both in-person and remote, made available to Camst's school food service managements. Among many activities, it also includes webinar meetings aimed at parents and teachers that explore environmental challenges and suggest practical solutions for a more sustainable future.
